The Power of Lemons: 4 Things Lemons Can Do To Enchance Your Skin

With the “Lemonade” buzz still lingering, I have decided to give you guys a list of the different ways to use lemons on your skin! SENSITIVE SKIN BEWARE, the citric acid in lemons may harm sensitive skin.

1. Smooth your knees and elbows

Suffer from scaly knees and elbows, this little trick will help you achieve that smooth finish feel! Juice a lemon and keep the 2 halves, add a teaspoon of baking soda inside each halve and stick your knees/elbows in, start exfoliating by turning the lemon halves while it’s on your skin to help smooth out the rough skin!

2. Blackhead Buster

Because lemons have antibacterial properties they are great for clearing up the skin from spots and dirt! Squeeze some lemon juice on your pimples and blackheads 2-3 times a week and watch them fade away

3. Hydrating AND Brightening Moisturiser ?!

While lemons can be used for almost anything, so can coconut oil! Mix this power couple together and you’re left with a face and body moisturiser! This one is defiantly worth a try

4. Skin Brightener

Lemons are rich in vitamin C and citric acids, this helps brightens the skin and also lighten up those old acne scars and discolouration. Like suggested you can apply lemon juice on your face or you can make a multi purpose face mask instead!

You’ll only need:

  • 1 Egg Whites
  • 1 Tablespoon of Honey
  • Tablespoon of Lemon Juice

Start my beating your egg whites until you start to see bubbles on the surface. The egg whites will help tighten and minimise those oversized pores! Once done, add your lemon juice and honey and mix it up until it becomes one. The honey is a natural moisturiser and will also help with your pimples and spots
