Drugstore Makeup Review: Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation

For a woman of colour living in the UK, it’s so hard to find a foundation that matches, let alone a drugstore foundation! Determined to find one, I went into my local Superdrug with the hopes I’ll leave with a new foundation!

To be real with you guys, I found a few (Meaning more reviews to come 😉) but I went ahead and tried the Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in Deep Mocha, there’s not a lot of shades for darker skin tones so I think I was lucky enough to find my shade.

Here’s my pros and cons x

PROS:

  • Easily buildable! If I want the no makeup look or the “look at me, I’m slayin” look then this foundation can do both!
  • Guys, it’s only £7.99?!
  • It hides your pores! Not as much as a primer would but this does a pretty decent job – I defiantly noticed a smooth finish

CONS:

  • Very movable – this makeup gets everywhere! Don’t even think about touching your face while you have this on!
  • It isn’t sweat proof at all, had a night out with this foundation and my face felt so sticky and I looked like I was about to melt, not a pretty look

Final thoughts?

For the money you should give it a go! This is good for everyday makeup or when you don’t feel like using your best foundation that day. I still use it when I want light coverage for work and University

Have you tried it? Comment below how you felt about this foundation
